NFTs, or non-fungible tokens, have been A Thing for a while now, but what’s the meaning of “NFT”? A couple of high-profile stories have made us stop and go “Hey... what exactly are these things?” And you may have had the same question.Well, there is plenty to tell you about them that didn’t fit into The Crypto Bubble Of 2017 so maybe we should get back to this topic at some point? For now, take a deep breath on the subject and let me explain it in simple terms:
At their core they are just like normal digital assets, but with a twist. This thing that gives the NFT a unique identity, rather than an actual item, is essentially invisible to anyone else who doesn’t know how to play by its rules. It has no expiration date, its value can never be diminished, it cannot be destroyed and even when all is lost it continues to exist as a piece of art. Most importantly it’s owned by creators, which means the owner gets paid for it (at least until someone buys it back) and not with Bitcoin or other cryptocurrencies, so it’s safe to say that whoever created it would most likely earn the same amount as you.
Now the main part that makes people wonder why I’m talking about it here firstly because all the hype in the crypto space was based around Bitcoins and Ethereum. There’s nothing new to the blockchain world other than the fact that they’re used as currencies.
Then, the interesting thing is NFT in particular has gotten enough attention to merit their own dedicated sub-title “NFTs". Not just that, these kinds of coins like DOGE and ERC-20 are known to be some of the safest investments around…
But what if you could create something like that? What kind of a system will be built out? Is it possible to take your money and run it without any questions asked, or will anything remain hidden from view? Or how far will that system go in allowing the creator to decide the type of content and information being shared?
How much influence will it hold over the market? Can’t we just put everything under the control of an authority, where nobody can question our decisions and we pay off our debts only when everything is ready?
Well my answer to those questions isn’t really that far away from reality and it’s already happening. All you gotta do is look at Instagram, Twitter, Facebook and Snapchat for proof. So I mean if you thought up something similar, surely you would want some form of validation for sharing such an idea and some way of helping make sure a particular one gets seen and heard.
Well we’ve got exactly that now. You see, the NFT movement is making waves in so many different industries, both big and small. Here’s some examples.
We have a few applications in place for Spotify and Netflix, two very large companies are looking to adopt blockchain technology to store and share data about their users, e-commerce company Pipedrive and fashion retailer H&M have gone behind the scenes to develop apps, we even have the opportunity for major corporates to participate and learn more about our platform and our technology! In addition to this, we at nftart are developing several more projects involving various different types of artwork, music media and videos, etc…

There are so many different ways to think about the world and all the possibilities that can exist within the limits of today’s technology. As long as you have the right skills you could become one of the next great creations in the field.
But what actually is the difference between creating an original artwork and uploading to a social media site like Tumblr or Facebook or whatever. And then finally deciding whether to go ahead with the process and upload it or not. If you look at most successful artists in the industry, you can almost guarantee they’ve spent some time figuring out what works and what doesn’t. Especially if you’re working with a team of likeminded artists in New York, Washington DC and London, you can bet that one of them was probably thinking something like that at some point.
That said, what people often forget is the work has to sit somewhere for a significant period of time before it’s released and uploaded online. So you can’t just pick up an image and start posting it for everyone to see. No matter how hard people try, unless someone pays to do it, they wouldn’t reach their maximum potential.
Yes, we’ll definitely need the creative community and yes, some artists will still need guidance on what they should be trying to achieve but don’t expect perfection from anyone. Do you see how true that is? Of course you’ve always wanted to produce an album that sounds impressive. Something that’s going to sell well and eventually achieve success. Maybe you want to give yourself a break and just relax for a little bit and enjoy another day. Well that is totally possible but then again that’s completely up to you. Why is that? If you just turn up on stage every night and perform at your best then you definitely wouldn’t reach your full potential.
On the other hand if you only sing songs in your bedroom and then do lots of commercials, you can definitely find people buying your albums but you probably wouldn’t produce amazing stuff. To prove just how close we are, here’s a video of myself singing along to a track by Kanye West at an outdoor concert.
He’s absolutely mesmerising and he’s doing his business without breaking stride, even though he’s obviously getting better and better as time goes on. So you’re certainly capable of producing good quality results and I’d even argue you’re probably more effective at it than ever. But then comes the second generation of young musicians in New York, Washington DC and London who just want to be able to share their ideas wherever they are.
They want to keep creating, they don’t care about hearing back from critics, they just want to express themselves… And that’s a powerful combination both creatively and artistically and it’s something I’d hope to see carry out in future generations.
In my opinion the only reason Kanye never achieved this level of success is because he didn’t make music that people really care about. Anyone who is a musician of note should definitely consider giving me a listen.
My friend, Jordan P. King, was the inspiration behind the song Sweet Child, it has become one of my favorite songs I’ve ever sung and he told me during my audition that it wasn’t meant to be made for musical theater because it’s not funny but it’s genuine and there are lyrics that make the songs truly worthwhile to hear even from your living room… I believe Jordan was referring to a lyric in Billy Joel’s Holy Bible that he says “a boy must be ready for love” but since we’re mostly living in modern times and not real life situations, maybe a guy like Jordan isn’t quite the romantic archetype as that song suggests.
And even if you wanted to give him a watch after the show, he would be too busy chatting to the casting director to take you on a trip across America. So once again, as long as you have the right vision for what the end product should be if someone wants to buy it, I think the whole process needs changing.
People will continue to post images of their paintings but not necessarily understand them like they’re supposed to so it’s important to give creators the freedom to make whatever they want.
Like we mentioned earlier, it’s easy to post something on Tumblr to impress certain audiences but it’s a lot harder to post that image in your bank account and make profit. Even taking pictures and running ads, the only real income stream for artists is coming from streaming services like Spotify and YouTube.
Without using proper filters or applying any metadata, most people won’t even notice unless they’re on holiday in Mexico or Australia or somewhere that’s technically beneath these countries. Therefore they only see this picture if it’s a pretty landscape and an interesting city of style with a ton of flowers and a nice building.
Whereas someone who sees the photo of a random dog sitting in a street, has somehow managed to capture the essence of the animal and then add a beautiful background and people will realise what they’ve just seen was a painting or a photoshoot and not a portrait.

I’m sorry for the simplicity but trust me, there are going to more than one NFT artist and many more will join shortly after mine and they’re all worth millions of dollars. We’ve even started collecting and auctioning some of them.
